Before Remembering is part of the Permission to Linger series. It sits somewhere between a place and a memory of one—something familiar beginning to surface, but never completely arriving. I kept the painting quiet and let the small bits of red do the talking. It asks you to stay with it for a while. What you find there is probably going to depend on what you brought with you.
